Payment Integration for Retail Pharmacy

One of our customers in Pharmacy Management space needed to integrate card present payment integration in a POS system involving a small retail pharmacy that was struggling to keep up with the increasing demand for card payments. The business had previously relied on cash transactions but was losing customers who preferred to pay with cards.

To address this challenge, the business decided to integrate a payment gateway with its existing POS system. The integration involved installing a card reader device and configuring the POS software to enable card payments. The business also had to ensure that the payment gateway was compliant with industry standards such as EMV and PCI DSS.

Once the integration was complete, our client was successfully able to enable the business to accept card payments directly at the point of sale, which streamlined the payment process and reduced transaction times. Customers appreciated the convenience of being able to pay with their preferred payment method, and the business was able to attract new customers who were previously unable to make purchases with cash.

In addition, the business was able to leverage the data collected through the payment gateway to gain insights into its sales performance and customer behaviour. The POS system provided detailed sales reports and customer analytics, which helped the business to optimize its inventory management and marketing strategies.

Overall, the card present payment integration in the POS system proved to be a valuable investment for the retail business, enabling it to improve customer experience, increase sales, and streamline its business operations.

Not only this, it was able to handle very specific types of cards like EBT, FSA/HRA, OTC Benefits etc for our client in Pharmacy Management System space.
